On Sunday, March 3, the English department went on a field trip to Cleveland to see the classic Noel Coward play Blithe Spirit at Great Lakes' Hanna Theatre. Students and professors carpooled together in vans. Dr. Lehman climbed in the trunk of Dr. Grady's van in attempt to claim the spacious area for himself, but students Mercedes McGee and David Mohn coerced him out of it. The jokes and laughs continued into Cleveland with a humorous production in the beautiful theatre. A dead battery crisis was averted when a worker in the car garage jump-started the van, and the crew ate at the Hard Rock Cafe to finish up conversations before heading home. In addition to enjoying a finely acted play and meal, students and professors learned more about each other and had fun in a social environment outside of the classroom.
Check out the usher. Apparently we weren't supposed to take flash photos inside the theater. |
