Dr. Maura Grady, Associate Professor of English and Director of the Composition Program, will be featured on a panel of authors during the 25th anniversary celebration of the film The Shawshank Redemption, which was shot primarily in Mansfield, Ohio and the surrounding region. Dr. Grady will discuss her book, cowritten with Dr. Tony Magistrale, The Shawshank Experience: Tracking the History of the World's Favorite Movie. Hosted by Tom Clark of the Ohio State Reformatory, the panel will also include Mark Dawidziak and Kary Oberbrunner (authors of The Shawshank Redemption Revealed and Day Job to Dream Job, respectively). The panel will take place in the central guard room of the Ohio State Reformatory from 11:00-12:00 on Sunday, August 17.
